Simba’s Roar is a 5-year-old gelding by Oasis Dream, a top-class 2-year-old sprinter, won the July cup, gets high-class sprinters to middle distance runners and 2-year-olds, and out of Holberg Suite a middle-distance winning mare.
Simba’s Roar was a £85,000 yearling and has now come out of Ger Lyons stable and has gone straight into training. He has showed a very good attitude and has also schooled well over hurdles. We will be aiming for juvenile bumpers and hurdles before the end of the year.
He is an extremely exciting horse to get involved in from the early start of his racing career.

Simba’s Roar is on the walkers and gallops daily. He will do a mix of schooling and days out to the races for experience over the next few weeks. Overall he has grown in size and showing a good attitude to his work.
Simba’s Roar is on the walkers and gallops daily. By the end of November to middle of December we will have a better understanding whether he is race ready following his break.
Simba’s Roar will continue training for the next 4-6 weeks before we can start to look at entries for him. Rebecca and the team will continue to monitor his progress before stepping up his work.
