Blitz Spirit is an exciting 6-year-old bay mare by the sire Free Eagle, smart over 1m as a 2-year-old, top-class over 10-12f winner at 3-4, including the Prince of Wales’s Stakes Group 1 at Royal Ascot, top family.
Previously owned by Godolphin and trained over in France by Andre Fabre, she has been lightly raced as a 2-year-old and on her debut run, she was just a length behind King’s Harlequin who has gone on to win a Group 3 in France and has an RPR of 105. In her recent run as a 3-year-old she went off favourite finishing close in heavy ground.
Blitz Spirit will be running both over hurdles and the flat, she has lovely attitude and we are excited for her future.

Blitz Spirt was fine after her race. Although she was not placed, she finished the race and jumped well for having a 456 day break. She will continue with her training at home before looking at entries.

Blitz Spirt was schooled on Wednesday and done 15 fences with ease. She has shown a good attitude at Michael’s yard and is getting ready for entry coming up which is for Wednesday 30th October.

Blitz Spirt is not far from her first run under Michael Whigham, she will be schooled next week and we will see how she gets on when having the work increased. She has a provisional entry for the 17th of October.
Blitz Spirit is not far from having her first run following her break as she is now doing fast pieces of work at home with ease. Her fitness is not far from race ready and we look forward to getting the go ahead to look at entries for her.
Blitz Spirit is progressing well and will now have the distance increased to 1m to 1 1/2m to get her ready. She will need to do 4 pieces of fast work before being ready to run – most likely end of this month to middle of October before we can enter her for a race.

Blitz Spirit has stepped up to doing canter work daily. The distance will start to increase and once she shows enough stamina and fitness at home, we will look at entries for her.
Blitz Spirit has put on plenty of weight and condition since arriving at Michael’s. He is working towards getting her to full fitness to be ready for a race. He has no complaints with her work ethic and what she has shown so far.

Blitz Spirit is doing two times up the gallop most mornings, we are working on getting some more muscle on her and building her up. She did have a bowl up the gallop yesterday morning, but I don’t want to work her too hard as I think she will benefit from patience in training.
Blitz Spirit has settled into the yard’s routine well, she is cantering every morning and went on a hack before cantering yesterday morning to get her used to her new surroundings. I am looking forward to getting to know her.
